Pizza Hut and Pasta Hut

TradeMork says today that the Pizza Hut chain filed an application to claim the "Pasta Hut" trademark for themselves. You can read their article here...

The name "Pasta Hut" is already in use by a handful of restaurants around country.

Will Pizza Hut open up a chain of pasta restaurants? The fast food pasta concept is not new, with many restaurants already doing well in this sphere, the biggest chain being Fazoli's.

It could also be that Pizza Hut is concerned an established Pasta Hut restaurant could gain a large enough influence to take away from their brand.

  • if Pizza Hut wanna be in the competition then i guess they they should start a Pasta Hut by serving healthy and low cal food. This might help them survive in front of Fazoli.

  • great, let's see if Pizza hut can make pasta worse than the other bastardized "Italian" food restaurants like the Olive garden. Or maybe they will bring it down to the level of their disgusting pizza.

  • Hi, this is a team member from Pizza Hut in Orlando, I was curious as to what people were saying about the new pasta at Pizza Hut, the Pasta Hut thing is a really lame april fools joke, mainly a advertising stunt to get peoples attention, and it worked. Second if you like Pizza Huts pizza, you will like the pasta, even if you don't like the pizza, I suggest trying it, The chicken alferado, is selling way more than the meaty marinara. I honestly feel is people gave the pasta a chance they will like it, at this point is about getting people to try it and go from there.

  • Pizza Slut makes the worst pizza, worst salads, and worst pasta I have ever seen.

    A better name would be "Grease Hut", "Bland Hut", or "Diarrhea Hut".
