Quizno's New Sammies

The Quizno's sandwich chain announced today the official launch of their new "Sammies" line of flat-bread sandwiches.

Quizno's Sammies
Priced at just $2.00 each, they're designed to be a lighter alternative for your weekday lunching, both easier on your wallet, and easier on your calorie intake.

If you thought Quizno's was already a healthier alternative to the burger, think again. With some sandwiches exceeding 2,000 calories, exceeding 100 grams of fat, and exceeding 4,000 mg of sodium, Quizno's is truly a junk food junkie's paradise. Not only can you clog your arteries and raise your blood pressure, you can make your momma happy by telling her you're eating a sandwich!

But don't worry, Sammies won't make you a health food nut. At just $2.00 each, you can afford to eat TWO!

On a side note, take a look at Ken Kuhl's recent blog post about Quizno's. It seems the company just recently disclosed their nutritional data, probably because they're trying to play the diet angle like Subway...

Quiznos Sammies should be renamed to Quiznos SCAMMIES . This will get into record books for being the smallest flat bread sandwich ever served.

I Just had them and they we're horrible it's like eating two pitas with a thin slice of turkey and tomato they are not worth the 2$ me and my family tried all the different kinds they had they we're all lacking in flavor. just get a normal sandwich
from them and eat half for lunch and half for dinner if your looking for a more healthy option or just make your own sandwich on some whole wheat bread.

I have to disagree with both of the previous comments.

First of all, they are supposed to be small. They aren't trying to pull a "scam" on anyone, they are marketing them as a smaller size - that's why they are only $2.00.

Secondly, I had the Italiano kind and it certainly was not lacking flavor. It tasted just like their regular Classic Italian, only a little better because it had pesto instead of Italian dressing.

Thirdly, I haven't seen any adds trying to sell them as a healthier alternative to anything. They are just adding another item to their menu.

I just tried chicken and steak varieties. Both were very tasty. I happen to like the flavor and texture of flatbread. Thumbs up in my opinion.

Best of all is that they are small. I'm tired of facing the choice of going hungry or spending $6 or getting really bad food. This creates a new option for me: tasty, inexpensive, small.

McDonalds already has those little wraps for a buck-twenty-nine, perhaps an even better deal, but these definitely add to the options for a small meal.

Seriously these are a joke. They are made to look bigger on the commercials than they actually are. I thought they would be at least the size of a taco, but they are less than 4 inches in diameter.

Hell I'm tring to watch what I eat and I like them. They all taste good and the turkey one is a little spicy but still good. And for those who say they are a scam should turn to Wrong Way because all they are is veggie's and process meats and cheeses! So I will continue to go to Quiznos.

I completely disagree with the statements that the Sammies are "horrible" and lacking taste. I have tried three of the four kinds and think they have PLENTY of taste and are the perfect size. If I wanted something the size of a sub, I'd get a sub.

I agree they tasted GREAT!! I have tried all four of them and the alpine is my fav! I know it's not diet food at Quiznos but neither is burger king, mcdonalds, taco bell or many other choices. At least Quiznos uses fresh ingredients and makes the food right there in front of you.

>> less than 4 inches in diameter.

Actually our Sammies are 4.5 inches in diameter. And they are meant to be alittle something in your mid-day for example.

If you want a meal why not try our "Sammies Meal"? Any two Sammies of your choice, a regular size fountain drink and one of our four side choices for only $5.99.

Anyone complaining of not enough taste needs to rinse their morning mouthwash out before eating. And really has not tryed the Sanoma Turkey.

However the Bistro Steak is my favorite.

Sammies are the greatest thing since sliced flatbread. Especially the Sanoma Turkey - my personal favorite. Plenty of flavor and at a small price. And no, I don't work for Quizno's. But I might if I got free Sammies!

Viva la Sammie Revolution!

I love them. I'm trying to reduce calories. With a side salad a single sammie works pretty good and taste good too!

I totally agree with the "Scammies" comment. The picture looks almost like a Taco Bell Gordita, but is like half the size. Hell, I can go to a taco stand and get some tacos, loaded with meat, bigger size for half the cost. TOTAL RIPOFF!!

And I completely disagree with the comment below...

Unless you live in east LA or surrounding areas, taco stands are not easy to find. Secondly, if you are really complaining about spending $2 for lunch, it doesnt seem you're very experienced in food cost these days. Thirdly, not everyone likes Taco Bell Gordita's since who knows what their meat is made of and they never fail to leave you with a stomach sensation to run to the border! Finally, you claim $2 is a TOTAL RIP OFF, when tacos are $1? Wow!!!! You're making a lot of sense there. GREAT ARGUEMENT!

Shit, I just bought some even though they were selling for $2.89 on account of the fact I thought McD was worse...

The chicken and turkey sammies are awesome! Sonoma turkey is a bit spicy but my favorite. I actually don't think they're small at all. Have been eating them for awhile now.
