Midwest Airlines Chocolate Chip Cookies

Midwest Airlines is now offering its famous chocolate chip cookies for retail in the form of ready-to-bake cookie dough.

Midwest Airlines Chocolate Chip Cookies
The company, which flies it's jetliners across the heartland of America, offers its passengers free chocolate chip cookies, which are baked during the flight. The cookies are very popular with passengers, and demands for the company's secret recipe have escalated. Instead, Midwest Airlines is offering the next best thing, by selling its cookie dough.

The cookie dough is only available at Milwaukee-area, Balistreri-owned and -operated Sendik's Food Markets. If you don't happen to live within driving distance to Milwaukee, well hopefully Midwest Airlines will distribute them to other stores.

Midwest Airlines is based in Milwaukee, which kinda explains that.

The chocolate chip cookie is a pretty serious issue with Midwest Airlines, check out their website, "Save the Cookie".

I'm not for certain, but I think Midwest Airlines may be the first air carrier to launch its food for retail.

  • I have never been on a Midwest Airlines flight, so I cannot say whether or not they are good. I have been on a number of fights and really haven't had any bad food. They're probably pretty good.

  • I'm sure that Japan Airlines (JAL) has sold their food long ago: Japanese store.

They sell prepared meals (in retort packages) and cup ramen and coffee and consumme...

As ANA is concerned... I'm still checking.
