Haagen-Dazs Caramelized Pear & Toasted Pecan

Haagen-Dazs has a new limited edition flavor out called, "Caramelized Pear & Toasted Pecan".

It's described as pear-flavored ice cream base, with chunks of caramelized pears and pieces of toasted pecans.

The new flavor was the result of Haagen-Dazs' 2007 Flavor Search, naming Leslie Zoerb as having submitted the idea.

The company says the new flavor is available in stores today.

This is the absolute BEST ice cream of all time!!! The pear "chunks" actually seem like miniture pears, and they are PERFECTLY sweetened! There must also be some brown sugar syrup thing going on, because the description does not do the ice cream justice...there seems like a whole lot more in that little pint for all that amazing flavor!

BEST ICE CREAM EVER!! CAN NEVER FIND IT IN STOCK AT MY LOCAL STORE. WISH THEY WOULD KEEP IT AROUND FOR GOOD.

The carmelized pear and toasted pecans suck. It just sits there exactly as described, no special nothing to it. Sorry to say. I actually like the sticky toffee pudding better.

I LOVE this ice cream. Everything about it is perfect except that it might be a limited edition. I want it around forever!!
