Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants announced they'll be offering a line of Mint Chip Ice Cream shakes and malts beginning November 15.

The new flavor features real, hand-scooped vanilla ice cream, mint syrup, chocolate flakes and real milk blended to order, and is topped with whipped cream. A scoop of malt powder can be added for a classic malt taste. The shakes and malts sell for $2.99 at most company-owned restaurants.

"We are confident that our Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes and Malts are the best in fast food because they're made the old-fashioned way, with real ice cream and milk and blended by hand," says Brad Haley, executive vice president of marketing for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's. "And the new Mint Chip flavor is the perfect addition for the holiday season."
