Nutravail, which makes the line of Mad-Croc Energy Gum, claims to have released a better tasting product.

The gum had received numerous poor reviews with claims that it tasted awful. One reviewer said that the flavor ran out quickly, and after that, tasted like rubber bands.

The new formula also is also sugarless, now sweetened with Xylitol.

The packaging is even redesigned.

Varieties still include Cinnamon, Peppermint, and Spearmint.

  • Actually I've never thought of that before, is there a gum which you can chew for energy or whatever (and isn't made of coca leaves lol)...

    But seriously wouldn't you just rather chew something natural?

  • I picked this up at Target in the Spearmint flavor about a week ago.First time I have ever tried an energy gum and probably the last time. Yuck!! Tasted horrible, flavor ran out quickly and didnt notice any energy boost.

  • How long has this gum been out? I seen it for the first time last week. I bought a pack and tried it for the first time about an hour ago. At first it has spearamint flavor then it gets an awful taste. I wanted to spit it out but kept chewing. After a few minutes the awful taste went away and it wasn't bad at all. It worked!

  • I bought this gum at a college bookstore before an exam, figuring I could use that boost....I was sadly mistaken. This gum is an assault to your sense of taste!!! After the "flavor" ran out it tasted like a burning tire!! Most of my co-workers tried it after I claimed it was the worst gum ever...they all agreed. I'm afraid no energy boost (if there even was one) is worth that taste!!!
