Anonymous Comments Are Turned Off

Apparently some kind of comment-spamming software out there decided to mark several of our URLs for spam. I've been manually deleting them over the past several weeks, but it has increased in frequency.

So, as of now only persons who have registered with Blogger can comment. For the time being anyways.

Sorry.

  • Doesn't the word verification system (I think they call that "captcha") keep the spam out?

    I thought it did.

  • No, they have some kind of system of spoofing the captcha. They have websites that offer "fictional" contests where they're able to grab a captcha from a Blogger site, and show it to someone on their website. The visitor is then challenged to type the letters seen in the captcha, as some sort of contest. The site then feed's the user's response into a comment-spamming engine.
