Just Born, Inc., more famously known for making the line of "Peeps" marshmallow animals, and the Mike & Ike candies, announced that they'll be selling a sugar-free variety of Peeps for Easter of 2007.
The sugar free peeps scare me - I'm not sure they'll have the same consistency as the sugar peeps.
I did pick up some cocoa peeps at the All Candy Expo to try ... I think it's far more exciting than the green peeps for St. Patty's day.
(And the green wasn't quite as vibrant as I would have liked.)

if you take away the sugar, what's left? I really doubt splenda can pull this off. and peeps brulee will probably no longer work right either.
and the cocoa peeps are good. they've had halloween cocoa peeps (cocoa bats or cats - forget which) for years and I like them a lot. the only problem was they were only available at halloween - now we get cocoa peep action twice a year

I can hardly wait. I've been diabetic for 15 years. My husband is a new diabetic. I'm going to start looking for these right away.
