Absolutely Free Ice CreamAbsolutely Free Ice Cream is a new line of gourmet ice cream products from The Enlightened Gourmet, Inc. os West Hartford, CT.

It's touted as fat-free, lactose-free, cholesterol-free, as well as "no added sugar", yet they claim it has the same texture and mouth feel as regular full fat premium ice cream.

It's sold in ice cream cups, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream bars.

Pictured here is the Burgundy Cherry ice cream cups. They have several other flavors. The brand's website has a store locator page, but lists no stores. Hopefully, someone's selling it.

  • My husband and I are totally hooked on this ice cream! It is still difficult to find, but we predict it will soon be very popular. If you live in an area that has BiLo grocery stores, we have found it there.

  • Shop-Rite sells the orange/vanilla bars and the chocolate bars as well as some cups (that we haven't tried). The orange/vanilla isn't really a creamsicle, but is quite okay and the chocolate bar, if allowed to melt a little bit before eating, does taste alot like a fudgsicle.

  • I live in Richmond, VA and only one chain carries it-- Ukrops. They have been out for over a month. Since I am lactose intolerant its one of the few things I can have-- just love them!

  • This ice cream is terrific! I am on Weight Watchers plan and this ice cream is just 1 point per bar!
I found these at Harris Teeters in Norfolk, VA. I hope they get a variety of flavors.

  • I think this is the best no fat no sugar ice cream. Like all the rest of you cannot find it anywhere. Pathmark, NY had one box of the chocolate swirl and never replenished it.
Waldbaums NY can get the orange but not the chocolate.
What is the problem with this company not being able to supply stores with the product?

  • can someone tell me where to find them in NC

  • This company is in desperate need of marketing. They do not respond to any comments sent them! I bought all flavors of the ice cream bars at Shaw's Markets in MA for a year and now they don't carry them. I've requested them back to no avail. I have a milk allergy and LOVED the product.
